I first met Shri Mohini Mohan Ratho in early Feb 1998 soon after our marriage. We were returning to Rourkela from our visit to the adobe of Lord Jaganath at Puri and had stopped at Cuttack for a day. I contribute to CRY every year and I suppose they have me on a list somewhere because every year at around this time CRY volunteers visit my home. Two young ladies, Swati & Soudamini, visited us yesterday and I handed over a cheque to them. Swati & Soudamini informed me that this year’s theme is the “Girl Child”, particularly girls under threat of sexual exploitation. Lord Jeffrey Archer visited Hyderabad and spoke at the two Landmark stores on Nov 8 & 9 followed by a book signing. I had seen news reports about this the previous week but had dismissed them as my father was to be admitted to Apollo Hospital on Nov 8 for his Total Knee Replacement surgery.
