We realized Bablu required spectacles in Nov 2009, when he was 5 and a half years old. We took him to Dr. Bansal at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, and he selected the frame after the good doctor prescribed glasses. I picked up the new spectacles 2 days later when returning from work. These photos show him wearing his new spectacles for the first time and trying not to show how pleased he is 🙂 while his big sister looks on.
These photos were taken in 1989 when I was in class 12 (10+2) and Padmaja in class 11. From a time when life was carefree and daddy paid the bills 🙂
My brother, Shobhan Dash, was married on Jan 29, 2012, at Cuttack, Odisha. I wasn’t able to attend as I was traveling to Abu Dhabi on business. These photos were taken by my father, Binoy Ranjan Satpathi.
Bablu’s 6th Birthday fell on March 21, 2010. I missed his birthday as I had to leave for Mumbai to join Rolta on March 20, 2010. Mamli baked a small cake for Bablu and we celebrated his birthday before I left.
A small party of family – Kulkul & family, Sobhan, Gudlu & Saran who was visiting from Baorda. Everybody played games on the Wii and we had a really good time.

And the Kashid beach took our breath away. We spent the afternoon on the beach before going around…
On day 4 we started out for Agra in Rohan’s car. It was a lovely drive and were fortunate enough to get Darshan of the Lord Krishna at his Janmabhomi temple in Mathura. We visited the Agra Fort after lunch and saw the light and sound show at the fort. It was as good as we had been told it was.
