Phailin – Divine Intervention? Jai Ma Durga!

Phailin – Divine Intervention? Jai Ma Durga!

I drove my parents to the Mumbai Domestic Airport at Vile Parle at 5.00 am this morning for their 6.20 Jet Airways flight to Bhubaneswar. I was worried! Bhubaneswar was hit by the worst cyclone in 14 years – Phailin – less than than 36 hours ago. Sense Prevails – Hussain Award Canceled

Sense Prevails – Hussain Award Canceled

The Bhoruka Charitable Trust, Rajasthan, India had arranged a ceremony to felicitate the anti-Hindu painter, M. F. Hussain. A number of Hindu organizations including the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, organized protest campaigns. I of course participated via an online signature campaign. Thankfully the Bhoruka Trust seems to have realized it’s folly and has issued a retraction of it’s plans. In a fax sent to the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mr. Amitava Banerjee, Executive Director of Bhoruka Charitable Trust, states that the program…
